Resting in the balm of silence
Tension breathes out
As I am filled with quietude
Breath sighs past parted lips
The only sound the trickle of water
I expand beyond my physical body
My soul embracing the perfect silence
Soothing noise ruffled edges
Generated by everyday interactions
Peace a balm against our frantic world
Slowly the day wakes
Noise rising as car tyres hum on asphalt.
