Today I learnt a new mantra. I was sending compassion to those devastated by the earthquake in Nepal and had included the mantra Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha a Tibetan Buddhist invocation to call upon the Divine Feminine in the form of the Goddess Tara – the Mother of Mercy and Compassion, the source of the female aspect of the universe. Tara offers support and protection from unfortunate circumstances and human fears

Another person offered up the following mantra

Om Tare Tam Soha. – you can hear it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPtrKid-Khg

It is the Red Tara Mantra.

Previously I had only learnt about Green Tara and White Tara, so today it was a pleasure to come into contact with Red Tara, the heart of Tara.

The most widely known forms of Tārā are:

  • Green Tārā - the Buddha of enlightened activity

  • White Tārā - known for compassion, long life, healing and serenity

  • Red Tārā - of fierce aspect associated with magnetizing all good things

  • Black Tārā - power

  • Yellow Tārā - wealth and prosperity

  • Blue Tārā, - transmutation of anger

This introduction lead me to creating Red Tara
