Living on coast generates a sense of freedom. The edge of the city opens out to the horizon and offers a wide perspective that allows my mind to expand to encompass a world full of sea and sky. The way the coast turn causes cloud effects that are endlessly entertaining. Every day I walk down towards the sea and I am gifted with colours, light, shadows, shapes and movement. Sea and sky are filled with a majesty that engages the senses. The natural world is the best tonic for mind, body and soul.

“We need the tonic of wildness...At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.” ― Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods
