Earlier this week I was reading the poetry of Sappho, of which, in many cases only fragments remain. The words I read created a resonance. Although long gone, and her works lost or destroyed by narrow beliefs the name Sappho, of the Isle of Lesbos, is remembered. Immortality is generated by those who recognised you long after you have passed.
So extending Sappho's immortality further here are some fragments to share
Although they are only breath, words which I command are immortal - Sappho
You may forget but let me tell you this: someone in some future time will think of us - Sappho
For her fame, I did name a bantam after her but in more respectful remembrance of a poet some two thousand years after she walked on this earth I created this image.
