Living in the NOW

Living in the now is to recognise that we only live in this moment. Our life is nothing more than THIS moment. Where we create problems for ourselves is when we become attached to the fullness of a particular moment and we proceed to stop the flow by holding on to that moment, or the emotion we found within that moment..
Often we become so attached to an emotion, whether it be positive or negative, we clutch it to our breast and nurture it. Building the emotion into an all encompassing shroud. Binding ourselves to moment that is no longer moving us through the flow of life or allowing life to flow through us.

Kahlil Gibran beautifully expresses this concept in the following words
“The feelings we live through in love and in loneliness are simply, for us, what high tide and low tide are to the sea.” ― Kahlil Gibran, Love Letters in the Sand: The Love Poems of Khalil Gibran
