A Perpetual State of Opposition

This weekend I was reading a story that featured Hel the Norse Goddess of the Underworld. She is depicted with a bifurcated face, one side alive, the other dead, compassion and mercilessness, darkness and light. A personification of all possibilities, endings and beginnings the point were everything becomes complete.
