On a bright, shiny, sunny Sunday of a long weekend, Tokoyo Lime Sencha was my choice today; bright and sharp and energising. I paired it with the enlivening colours in my red, gold and white peony cup.
The garden is calling my name, big plans for clearing up today, with this wonderful bright sunshine I will be moving in the shadows so I can get as much done as possible without overheating.
The three cat household is shaking down really well I have seen some beautiful tiny vignettes that demonstrate love and acceptance. Serida rubbing her head against Aurora’s shoulder in an attempt to eat out of the dish at the same time as Aurora. Aurora giving Serida’s head a lick as she finished eating and moved away from the food dish. Khepra touching noses with Serida and rubbing cheeks together just before he took off outside.
Last night I inadvertently upset Serida. I was watching a cat video “Do your cats miss you when you leave” the cat in the video start piteously meowing after his owner left and Serida reacted very badly to the sound running backwards and forwards crying, I quickly switched off the video but as I did that someone in the neighbourhood let of a whole lot of fireworks with a run of bangs one after the other. Aurora reacted by tensing up and looking at me as if I could stop the noise but Serida started running frantically from room to room. I shut all the windows to cut down the noise and she settled a bit, then Aurora did the sweetest thing she made a little mewing noise and when got Serida’s attention she sat up straight and did slow blinks at Serida and then Serida started to copy. That is probably one of the sweetest interaction I have ever seen.
This morning Serida is back to her normal, energetic, rambunctious self getting a few hisses from Aurora as she invades her space.
