The Art of Tea

A grey and rainy Sunday morning in the last month of Autumn. I look out my windows and visibility is very limited. To combat all the drenched green and grey I chose the bright vibrancy of Sencha Green Tea with Lemon and Ginger. A tea with a fresh, bright and warm flavour, the touch of ginger leaves lingering warmth on the tongue. Staying on the bright note I chose my Geisha Cup for it lovely vibrant colours. Indulging all my senses I have Nature Sound playlist soothing the ear with Sounds of the rainforest, Ylang Ylang and Lemongrass in the oil burner and water flowing in the fountain.

It seems I may have a mouse in my lounge as Serida is slinking around, stopping with ears twitching fixing her gaze on different spots under the furniture. She probably brought it in any way for her own entertainment. Definitely something loose as Aurora has now started stalking around the plants.

I have really enjoyed the week working from home. I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it as my home has always been my sanctuary away from the stressors of work. So I was pleasantly surprised at how well the week went.

Had a bit of a wind blowing yesterday but I managed to get in the garden for a short time to remove some more of the creeping fig and creeping ivy around the end of the garage; this is a long term task as the overgrowth at the back of the garage is huge. I am never bored as there is always something in the garden that needs to be done.

I have started reading a new series on Kindle Crow Investigations by Sarah Painter. Finished book 1 “The Night Raven” and have started number 2 “The Silver Mark” Interesting take on magic and private investigations.

Sharing the beautiful words of John O’Donohue

“Each of us is an artist of our days; the greater our integrity and awareness, the more original and creative our time will become.” John O'Donohue, To Bless the Space Between Us: A Book of Blessings

And the clarity and simplicity of Lao Tzu

“Simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures. Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being. Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are. Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.” Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

To all who read this may the upcoming week bring the blessing of the awareness of your place in the world, the space you inhabit can only be filled by you. You are love by the world and you were created to be in the world at this time in exactly the way you are.
