The Art of Tea 26/03/2017

Helen

Another rainy Sunday morning, how many times have I started my post like this? When we were children we called it Taranaki Sunshine, I suppose things haven’t really changed. I don’t mind rain, its just that I have only two days to get tidying up around the garden done and unfortunately it has not been happening.

This morning I indulged in Balsamic roasted field mushrooms with Haloumi and a vegetable and herb omelette paired with Green Rose Tea in my Van Gogh Sunflower cup. This combination created an earthy, graceful and bright start to a day in which the most I will probably do is read my book. I have restarted an old favourite science fiction series “Foreigner” by CJ Cherryh, of which I have 10 books and I am on book 2. In revisiting this universe I have just found there are 10 additional books which I will order shortly this will give me most of my winter reading. The main character Bren Cameron is on of my favourite characters and I like to revisit him. Another favourite character is Aidan from Carol Berg’s ”Song Of The Beast” Aidan story is both heart breaking and uplifting. I have pulled that off my bookshelf to re-read also.

This week has been one of the most exhausting week I have had. My workload on Wednesday use up all my energy gains I had garnered over the previous two weeks and Thursday and Friday were not much better, so looking forward to my time off.

Today my inspiration comes from the beautiful words of Kahlil Gibran, since my teens I have taken great pleasure in his words;

“Observe the wonders as they occur around you. Don't claim them. Feel the artistry moving through and be silent.” ― Kahlil Gibran

“Words are timeless. You should utter them or write them with a knowledge of their timelessness.” ― Kahlil Gibran, Sand and Foam

“The appearance of things changes according to the emotions; and thus we see magic and beauty in them, while the magic and beauty are really in ourselves.” ― Kahlil Gibran, The Broken Wings

Sunday blessings to you all, may you live each moment to its fullest.
