The Art of Tea 23/04/2017

Helen

A beautiful high sky, sunny Autumn day. I am so grateful for the lovely sunny days I have had during my leave.

My choice of tea today was inspired by the cup I chose. As a birthday gift I was given 2 lovely white tea cups, embossed with a lace pattern on the cup and saucer “Parlour Lace”. I matched it with Green Pear a sencha green tea with pear pieces and calendula petals. A light softly flavoured tea from “Stir Tea” this is the first time I have had tea from this company and it was a delightful tea.

I have been very physical this week with Curves, the Staircase Challenge and cleaning the wilderness of my gardens. I am really pleased with what I have achieved. My next target is the Rose garden, it is horrendously overgrown with Kikuyu, at least I can do the overlayer relatively quickly then focus on getting the roots out of the dirt. I may be able to clean up the Citrus garden but I am not going to manage to get to the Contemplation garden (Hydrangea Dell), the stream garden or the pond in the time I have left.

I am feeling really good physically, mentally and spiritually and I am just going to have to organise and discipline myself to give at least half a day each weekend to manage the garden.

Sharing with you the beauty of Sanober Khan’s poetry

“whatever you do be gentle with yourself. you don’t just live in this world or your home or your skin. you also live in someone’s eyes.” ― Sanober Khan

May you all have a blessed and joy filled Sunday
