The Art of Tea 30/04/2017

Helen

I wanted a bright start to the day as I woke up very late after reading until the wee small hours. The sun briefly did shine when I first got up. So I chose my perennial favourite Tokyo Lime for it bright, sharp, clean flavour and paired it with my back and green cup. After taking the time to eat my brunch and a few cups of tea I was ready to get into my day.

Tomorrow I am back at work my three weeks of freedom have come to an end. I have really enjoyed this time off. I have gotten a lot done in the garden but I could have fill in double the time I had. After doing some chores I settled to my task for the day. To created Bach flower remedies for each of the cat to encourage calm and friendly relationships when I am not here. It has been great for Serida to have me at home as she has settled down really, really well. Unfortunately she is still ambushing Aurora when Aurora is sleeping, not as often as she was but it is still happening.

I got out my crystal pendants for dowsing to identify the remedies for each cat. I started with Serida as she was in the house with me. We had to get past the idea she had that it was a game and she had to get the crystal. Once I managed to dowse Serida I then used the crystal over each of the 37 Bach flowers. Serida’s remedy is Larch, Mustard, Red Chestnut, Scleranthus and Vervain these address her fears, her despondency, not living in the present , worry and uncertainty. The change I hope to see is self condfidence, cheerfulness and serenity, poise and balance, self discipline and restraint. When Aurora and Khepra come back inside I will work out a remedy for each of them.

I potted up 14 Maidenhair ferns from my tidy up in the garden, blue lace-cap and blue moptop Hydrangeas, Crassula (The Jade Plant, Money Tree) and I have some Sedum (bees and butterflys love this plant) also Pink, cerise and white trailing and scarlet geraniums. Still have a number of Hydrangeas to take cuttings from over the next few weeks. My Oakleaf Hydrangea is starting it glorious colour changing display, something I always look forward to at this time of year.

Sharing the wisdom of Khalil Gibran

“The timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness. And knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream.” ― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

I shall carry this with me as I return to work tomorrow, live fully in the moment because that is all you have.

Blessings to you all on this last Sunday in April, may your week bring all that you desire.
