After a dismal summer we have been blessed a mellow autumn which has carried through into the first month of winter. The sun is shining and there is no wind; it is starting off as a quiet, calm and beautiful day.
My choice of tea today was Sencha Green Ginseng from Stir Tea. Another lovely tea; with a light, sweet sharpness that complemented the salty, sweet and earthy flavours of my brunch. I wanted a touch of the orient, gold and brightness in my cup this morning. I chose my red, white and gold Peony cup. On a sunny Sunday I started the day with brightness.
I’m waiting on the sun to come around the back so I feel comfortable working in the garden. When it is cold and damp it is not fun. This afternoon I will get the lawns mowed, at a minimum the front lawns. Also thinking of making some Wholemeal Pitas, I"ll see how inspired I am later in the day.
I only managed two workouts at Curves this week, I didn’t manage my objective of three and I didn’t even get to do any yoga. I thought about it and visualised myself doing it but didn’t actually get down on the floor and do it. Another week starts and I will make the effort this week to get myself motivated to do it, I don’t quite know what is going on, I want to get back to doing yoga but then the end of the week arrives and I haven’t done it. I need to work through this, find out what is stopping me and what I need to actually start doing yoga.
I am reading “The Girl With Seven Names” A North Korean Defector’s Story by Hyeonseo Lee, I am not a huge biographical fan but I am really enjoying her story.
I had the camera out and took some photos on the way to work a couple of mornings this week; one photo of my favourite skeleton tree and street where I park and of course photos of Aurora and Serida who are always in the house with me.
Finally in the immortal words of Marcus Aurelius
“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.” ― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
“If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true do not say it.” ― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
Blessing to all this beautiful Sunday and may the upcoming week for each of you be fulfilling and filled with wonder in all that is around you.
