Overcast, the sun is making a valiant effort to shine through and a bit of a wind. Wind always roars around my house and it make the wind sound worse than it actually is, it must be due to the placement of the house and the shape of the valley that is Seaview Road.
I decided on the tea based on the baked apple I have had for brunch, stuffed with sultanas, drizzled with treacle and wrapped in pastry, then served with yoghurt sprinkled with ginger, lime and rose petal sugar. Naturally the tea was Ginger Quince; green tea with apple, ginger and quince served on my purely beautiful Magnolia Bloom cup. Spring is officially here although she and Winter might be playing tag some days.
I have had a funny old week this week filled with way more up and down than I am comfortable with. I really need to get my sense of equilibrium back. I have been stressed, in physical pain from OOS and mentally like a grasshopper leaping from point to point without direction, and responding emotionally to incidences that before would not have bothered me. To that end today I am cleaning and charging protector crystal to carry with me throughout the week.
Hematite for grounding and protecting it helps to prevent negativity from entering the aura and restores peace and harmony.
Onyx; for strength giving and support during difficult times. For those periods of time when you are expending great amounts of energy physically and mentally, causing an overload of stress. Onyx is a connection stone helping to bring everything together, to look towards the future and be at ease in your surroundings.
Smoky Quartz: one of my favourites. A grounding and anchoring stone, a protector with strong links to the earth element. A wonderful antidote to stress as it gently neutralises negative vibrations.
And no protector/restorer grouping would be complete without Quartz being included. Quartz is the most powerful healing and energy amplifier on the planet. At a physical level it connects with your energy vibrations and lifts it. It cleanses and enhances all your subtle bodies and bring into alignment physical, mental and spiritual aspect of self. Then at spiritual level it raises you to you highest possible being.
Aurora is being my cuddle cat today, laying between my arms as type, purring loudly. Khepra, these last few weeks, has been hanging around a lot and sleeping every night on my bed. Now that I am thinking about it his behaviour corresponds with my rising levels of stress. So Khepra is obviously working throughout the night to bring down my stress levels. I think Serida is starting to lose a little bit of the weight she put on when she first came, she doesn’t seem quite as heavy and she is certainly eating less.
The garden is budding nicely looking forward in a few weeks to more show in the garden and to daylight saving and my October annual leave.
I am sharing one of my favourite poems following a discussion yesterday about how we never really know another person, we only know what they show us. The mask each person show to other differs dependant on their relationship. But even with those we are closest to we do not know what goes on inside of that person.
We Wear The Mask - Poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar
We wear the mask that grins and lies, It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,-- This debt we pay to human guile; With torn and bleeding hearts we smile, And mouth with myriad subtleties. Why should the world be overwise, In counting all our tears and sighs? Nay, let them only see us, while We wear the mask. We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries To thee from tortured souls arise. We sing, but oh the clay is vile Beneath our feet, and long the mile; But let the world dream otherwise, We wear the mask!
Blessings in new season, for those in the southern hemisphere a time of fresh newness, of promise, time to put those dreams and plans into motion as energy rises embrace to world that is becoming more open and encouraging being out in nature.
For my northern hemisphere friends a time of consolidation winding down toward the slow season of sleep and hibernation , honour you body, mind and spirit's need to slow down and hibernate. Finish those projects put aside that which cannot be finished and set yourself up for the dream time of winter. Do what needs to be done, the rest can wait.
