The Art of Tea 11/02/2018

Helen

Almost forgot to write this morning, as I got into the book I was reading then I decided to sort out my seeds I had been drying off. A misty, drizzily humid day the feel in the air is that this brilliant summer is coming to an end. The other day I describe the feel of the air as being like March and the beginning of autumn. I don’t doubt summer will blast back in with sun and heat but I am looking forward to the change of season.

I broke my fast with Sencha Tokyo Lime, the last pot of this tea. I am working through the last of my old teas before I send off for a new lot. I want to get Dragonwell LongJing, Pheonix Dancong and Gyokuro Kabuse. I must say that along with the great taste of these teas they have such fantastic names. I have my eye on a dragon cup to drink the Longjing from. Though today I selected my Picasso cup as the world is slightly off balance today.

I finished my January Goddess and I like her and Ihave started on February digital artwork. This one is pushing a little as to how she wants to be portrayed. I start working on a digital piece with an idea in my head but as I work on the piece it changes sometime when I finish it is quite different from my original idea. In doing different mediums each month I will be learning new skills and that is exciting.

I had a great day Op Shopping yesterday I got 12 items for $11 dollars. My best buys were a funky holder for the toilet rolls for 50c and a Jamie Oliver knife Block for 50c. For a couple of weeks I had been thinking about getting a knife block and there it was, serendipity.

Todays thoughts are from John O’Donohue

“If you send out goodness from yourself, or if you share that which is happy or good within you, it will all come back to you multiplied ten thousand times. In the kingdom of love there is no competition; there is no possessiveness or control. The more love you give away, the more love you will have.” ― John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

And

“Real friendship or love is not manufactured or achieved by an act of will or intention. Friendship is always an act of recognition.” ― John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

Blessings to all, may love return in abundance to you all this week.
