Today I didn’t do anything extra in terms of breaking my fast. I am feeling totally unbalance, tired and aching in shoulder, elbow and wrist. So I went with familiar comfort my everyday Pounamu Green tea in my “Hope” mug. Comfort and familiarity are the focus words today, every time I sit down Aurora is coming over to give me cuddles, more for her benefit than mine probably.
Heat and humidity, day in day out I am longing for the cold breath of the south wind to relieve this oppressive feeling of being pressed down by saturated air. Humidity is at 92% almost every molecule of air is saturated with water, it may as well be raining as you get as wet as if standing under a shower. It has been a great growing season I have been eating lost of tomatoes and spinach from my garden.
This week Serida moved up the scale of trust when she lay near my feet , rolled over onto her back belly up, I wasn’t allowed to touch her belly but she trusted me enough to show it. What a difference a year makes. Khepra reached out to Serida by giving her a lick on her head, she now thinks he loves her as much as she love him and she is even more in his face. I am sure he regretted his action within moments of doing it. Both Aurora and Serida spend most of their time in the house and they have reach an understanding, Aurora has developed a very fierce, rumbling growl when Serida imposes into her space but Serida cannot resist the occasional ambush when Aurora is sleeping.
Even though the sun is shining and there is loads of gardening work to do I am going to let go of reality and lose myself in the book I am currently reading “Farnor” by Tad Williams a world beset by problems greater than I have.
I am putting on this invisible cloak to change my state of bing and regain my balance.
“Beannacht / Blessing On the day when the weight deadens on your shoulders and you stumble, may the clay dance to balance you. And when your eyes freeze behind the grey window and the ghost of loss gets in to you, may a flock of colours, indigo, red, green, and azure blue come to awaken in you a meadow of delight. When the canvas frays in the currach of thought and a stain of ocean blackens beneath you, may there come across the waters a path of yellow moonlight to bring you safely home. May the nourishment of the earth be yours, may the clarity of light be yours, may the fluency of the ocean be yours, may the protection of the ancestors be yours. And so may a slow wind work these words of love around you, an invisible cloak to mind your life.” ― John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom
Blessings to you all may you be surrounded by this invisible cloak as you need it in the upcoming week
