January

I decided that each month I would blindly choose a Goddess from the Susan Seddon Boulet Goddess Cards, I got myself for Christmas.

Persephone

The card selected for January was Persephone. When I looked at the card I thought 'really, what am I going to learn from the Maiden'. I was tempted to put her in the deck and choose another but doing that lacked integrity. So, over the month of January Persephone was my avatar the tool to look at my life, the choices I make and the emotions I hide from myself.

I contemplated Persephone, the light and dark aspects of her, growth and death, the power of being aware and awake in the dark, and the awareness of time moving by. I created these images as a reflection my thoughts and impressions of Persephone
