11/06/2016 Train your mind to see good in every situation Today’s challenge is possibly one of the more difficult challenges for me. Noise is one of the things I am least tolerant of. Not talking about sound, but noise. So what about noise am I grateful for? The definition of noise is; “a sound, especially one that is loud or unpleasant or that causes disturbance.” Ok, I am grateful for noise because it reaffirms my ability to hear Noise engages attention to a specific moment, when noise rises at work my attention becomes focussed on where the noise is occurring listening for emotional undertones or if treat is imminent. Noise in this situation become a warning, Noise is the bright colour in the tapestry of life, it adds depth and height to the soundscape of my life, it is sharp and immediate and enhances appreciation of quiet. The struggle ends when gratitude begins – Neale Donald Walsh
