Inhale love, exhale gratitude a way to lessen the stresses in your life

Technology is both a bane and a blessing. A bane because we are reliant upon technology to undertake so many everyday action and interaction, we have an expectation that technology will work and do what we expect it to do. When It doesn’t work frustration and stress rise because we are not in control of technology.

A blessing, because technology does a number of tedious and repetitive tasks that are inherent in the production of goods and services; freeing people to conceive new ways of interacting and meeting growing needs.

Technology is not new, it did not arrive with the digital age. With the invention of the wheel humans began to create new technologies, it is part of our evolution. Throughout the ages there have always been people who see the end of the world as we know it in the invention of new technologies.

“The problem is not the problem; the problem is your attitude about the problem” Captain Jack Sparrow

I love technology once I have made the decision it has value and start using it. I sit in the Early Majority I wait a little while before I jump on board the technology juggernaut

The five types of consumers are: Innovators - Venturesome; although they make up a very small part of the total market, innovators play a very important role. They are interested in anything new, and are quick to adopt new and innovative products.

Early adopters - Young and restless; early adopters are opinion leaders. They pay attention to what the innovators have discovered and find a practical use for the innovation. They then communicate to their followers the usefulness of the new product. They play a very important role by influencing the attitude and changing the behavior of the later adopters.

Early majority - Value shoppers; the early majority carefully observe the early adopters, but wait to adopt innovative products until they are sure they will get value from them. The early majority will only adopt a new product if they are sure the new product will provide usefulness to their lives - and not be a waste of their time and money.

Late majority - Skeptics; the late majority wait until an innovation has been accepted by a majority of consumers and the price has dropped to adopt the new product. The late majority typically adopt innovative products because they feel as if everyone else is doing it.

Laggards - Traditionalists; laggards are the very last group to adopt a new product. Laggards are content with what they have, and they adopt new products unenthusiastically and only because they feel as if they have to. Because they have been forced to do so, laggards will then adopt the new product.

What technology am I thankful for – my digital camera and photo editing programme. This technology has given me endless hours of pleasure and opened up channels of creativity and, connected me with new friends
