Don’t move the way fear makes you move. Move the way love makes you move. Move the way joy makes you move. – Osho

Movement is the body’s language. As human being we are designed to move and it is up to us to move. If we want to be as healthy as we can we need to move. Movement is practical, it gets us from a to b but movement has another side, it can be joyous.

It is a little ironical that I am doing this gratitude today as I have been an absolute sloth today but it has made me think about being thankful that I am able to move without pain. That I can walk distances without distress and that I can move joyously. It is something I need to do more often moving freely, joyously and without any restrictions.

Osho’s quote makes me think about how my emotions are expressed in the way in which I move, and the feedback loop that occurs through negative shaped emotional movement. Earlier this month I shared a post “Your body believes everything you says, so watch your words” from Your Body Believes Every Word You Say: The Language of the Body/Mind Connection by Barbara Hoberman Levine, Not only does the body believe what you say, it believes what you reinforce through your actions and habits.

So with gratitude give your body the grace of movement, open your posture and free up your movements. Allow joy to enter your movements.

Embrace and love your body, it is the most amazing thing you will ever own - Unknown
